Compare capacity as well as the retention window

fmail documents seven-day upstream retention with a fifty-message capacity. neighbours.sh documents forty-eight-hour upstream retention. Those figures describe different source policies, not how long GetaTempMail promises you access to a mailbox.

Both sources have one-hour sessions in this interface. If a test produces many notifications, count the expected messages and use sender logs to check missing deliveries. Do not interpret the visible inbox alone as a complete record of the test run.

The provider website is not always the email domain

These sources manage their receiving domains independently of the GetaTempMail website. In particular, a neighbours.sh-backed address can display a different domain from the source’s name. Use the entire address returned by the app rather than guessing it from a provider label.

Changing the source creates a different recipient. If you switch after submitting a form, update that form before asking for another email. Neither integration forwards mail from the previous address, and neither guarantees acceptance by a particular third-party website.

The reading and deletion workflow is shared

Both adapters support retrieving message content and requesting individual deletion. GetaTempMail applies the same sanitized preview and keeps remote images out of the reading view. A successful source deletion does not remove a sender’s copy.

These are public inbox sources, so use non-sensitive data and disposable test accounts. For long-term subscriptions, purchase records, or important account access, a permanent mailbox or maintained alias is a more appropriate destination than either temporary source.

A few common questions

Will changing sources keep my existing messages?+

No. Changing source creates a new address and replaces the current local session. Save your result before switching.

Which source is fastest?+

We have not benchmarked delivery speeds. Sender behavior and source availability vary, so this comparison does not promise a delivery-time winner.
