Use it to preview, not to build a reading list
A newsletter often sends a confirmation or welcome message immediately after signup. That first message can help you decide whether the content suits you. A temporary inbox gives that preview a separate place from your everyday mail.
Most newsletters send later editions after your GetaTempMail session has ended. Do not expect a one-hour session to hold tomorrow’s edition. If you want an ongoing subscription, use a regular address or an alias that forwards to an inbox you control.
Confirmation links still matter
Some lists use double opt-in: the first email asks you to confirm the subscription. Check that the sender and subject match the newsletter you requested before clicking. Only confirm a request you made yourself.
The inbox checks for messages every 15 seconds while the tab is visible. If nothing arrives, verify the submitted address and allow for delivery delays. A disposable domain may also be rejected before a confirmation is sent.
Switch cleanly when you decide to stay
Subscribe again with your lasting address and unsubscribe the temporary one if a working unsubscribe link is available. This keeps your subscription attached to the mailbox you actually read. GetaTempMail does not migrate subscriptions between addresses.
