Start with the task
Guerrilla Mail is the default source in GetaTempMail and returns a generated address through its API. Maildrop is available through New address and uses a random mailbox name on maildrop.cc. Both feed the same GetaTempMail inbox; changing source creates a new address rather than moving old mail.
For a one-off message, either may fit if the sender accepts its domain. We have not benchmarked delivery times, so this comparison does not rank one as universally faster or more reliable.
Retention and delivery differences
Guerrilla Mail documents roughly one-hour message retention. Maildrop instead applies a 10-message capacity, inactivity cleanup, and possible eviction under load. GetaTempMail’s local one-hour session applies to both sources.
Maildrop explicitly documents greylisting for first-time senders. That can introduce a wait while the sender retries. A 15-second inbox refresh is a retrieval interval, not a promised delivery time for either service.
What stays the same in GetaTempMail
Both sources support address copying, automatic message checks, search, safe message previews, and deletion. The interface is receive-only. Provider credentials, where used, stay on the server rather than in browser storage.
Both are disposable public-mail services. Neither should be chosen here for sensitive documents or a lasting account. If you need continued recovery access, use a private mailbox or a maintained forwarding alias.
