First check whether the session is still active
If you closed a tab recently, reopening GetaTempMail in the same browser may reconnect to the session through its cookie. That only works while the server session is active and the provider still accepts the stored credentials. Reloading is not an extension of either lifetime.
Before creating another address, check the original browser and any tab that was already open. Switching browsers, using a private window, or moving to a second device normally means a different cookie context. Those contexts do not share an inbox automatically.
An expired session has no recovery account
GetaTempMail does not provide an address history, recovery password, or user account. Once the local session has expired or been replaced, knowing the address does not restore access through this app. A longer retention period at the source does not change that limitation.
Do not send provider tokens or session cookies to someone offering to recover your email. The app has no supported process that requires posting those credentials in a chat, public issue, or search form.
Recover the task rather than the mailbox
For an unfinished download or other low-stakes request, create a fresh address and update the sender’s form if it permits a new request. A resend to the old address will still go to that old mailbox, so confirm the destination before trying again.
If the address was attached to a lasting account, use that service’s official recovery options. Temporary email is a poor recovery dependency; once you regain access, move the account to a permanent mailbox you control.
A few common questions
Will copying the old address into the site reopen it?+
No. GetaTempMail does not let visitors restore arbitrary addresses by typing them in.
Can support extend an expired inbox?+
The app has no supported extension or restoration feature. Use a new address for a new task.
